Kris May
Executive Director
Kris May is the Founder and Executive Director of Kris’s House of Hope, who envisioned a multi-sensory creative therapy organization that empowers seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities through artistic expression.
With a background in financial services, business planning, and tax consulting, Kris helps individuals turn their creative passions into side hustles while overcoming financial fears.
Courses include watercolor, drawing, and painting, currently at assisted living facilities in Colorado. KHOH also collaborates with individuals to showcase and sell artwork by elderly and homebound artists.
A certified Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy Practitioner, Kris believes creativity is the sixth sense and envisions building a network of practitioners and a physical healing space where people can explore creativity as a path to wholeness and well-being after trauma.
Originally from Colorado, Kris is dedicated to helping others heal, thrive, and find purpose through creativity.

Kevin Wright
Community Outreach Director
Kevin is a seasoned marketing professional with over a decade of experience leading strategic campaigns and launching award-winning marketing programs for major entertainment companies, including Hallmark Entertainment, AEG Live, Disney, and Sony Music Group.
His last few years have been dedicated to supporting veterans and military members transitioning to civilian careers in the IT and cyber security fields. He is also Director of Peakview Media Ministries, which provides inspirational, faith-based media and information through its proprietary Peakview Connect IPTV channels. ​
His sole commitment is to help others benefit their own lives by creating opportunities for growth, hope, and prosperity, and ultimately a brighter future.​​​​​​​​

Kelle May-Garst
Education Director
Kelle May-Garst is an educational consultant with over two decades of experience in multilingual learner advocacy, instructional coaching, and curriculum development. She partners with schools, districts, and nonprofit organizations to design inclusive, language-forward learning experiences that empower both students and educators.

Kelle’s work is grounded in equity, cultural responsiveness, and the belief that language and creativity are powerful tools for healing, expression, and connection.
As a board member for Kris’s House of Hope, she brings a passion for supporting trauma-informed practices and a deep understanding of how education, storytelling, and the arts can restore hope and purpose.

Cheresa Clark
Communications Adviser
Cheresa Clark is a former combat photographer and public relations officer. With an academic background in psychology, and a writing voice once recognized for its emotional impact, she brings both insight and lived experience.
Her experience with post-traumatic stress has deepened her understanding of creative expression as a tool for healing, clarity, and reconnection. She now volunteers her time in ways that support reflection, storytelling, and personal growth.
